Lesson focused on KS3 Learning objectives: To understand what the Bible is. To describe how Christians are respectful of the Bible. To explain the teachings of one Bible story. Part of a topic called ‘Sources of Wisdom’. Students are required to know about the Bible and why it is important to Christians.

This lesson is focused on Christian responses to the inconsistent triad. I used this to teach mixed ability year 8. No resources required, no video clips. Whilst the tasks are simple, I used them to create discussion. Many thanks, Any feedback is appreciated!

Updated lesson from 20/21 for KS3 on War and Peace. Also works as remote learning. Lesson contains worksheets, differentiation, learning objectives and milestones.

Used with mixed ability Year 9. This is a two part lesson. Firstly I used the amazing lecture by Michael Sandel at Havard to explain the principles of Utilitarianism. I paused the lecture and had the students interact with the lecture just as they are at Harvard. They wrote down their views and opinions throughout and we shared as a class. Part two is a more traditional lesson with content about Jeremy Bentham and JS Mill.
